A complete thirst system plugin for Minecraft servers (PaperMC/Spigot).

Features

• Customizable Thirst System

  • Players have a thirst level that decreases over time.
  • Maximum thirst level is configurable.
  • Thirst decreases at a configurable rate.
  • Thirst can be restored by drinking water bottles.

• Thirst Bar Display

  • Thirst bar can be shown in the action bar or as a boss bar.
  • Bar style, symbol, colors, and number of segments are configurable.
  • Option to display thirst value (current/max) in the bar.

• Thirst Effects

  • When thirst drops below a configurable threshold, players receive configurable potion effects (e.g., slowness).
  • Hurt animation can be triggered when thirst is low (configurable intensity).
  • When thirst reaches zero, players receive a configurable dehydration effect (e.g., weakness).
  • Custom messages are shown when players are dehydrated.

• Language Support

  • All messages are configurable and support multiple languages (see lang/ folder).

• Permissions

  • H2Oh.bypass.thirst: Allows players to bypass the thirst system.

• Configuration

  • All features are configurable via config.yml:
    • Max thirst, decrease rate, bar style, symbols, colors, display mode, effects, messages, drinking refill amount, etc.

Installation

1. Place the plugin JAR in your server's plugins folder.
2. Start the server to generate the default configuration files.
3. Edit config.yml and language files as needed.
4. Reload or restart your server.

Usage

• Players' thirst will decrease automatically over time.
• Drink water bottles to restore thirst.
• Thirst bar and effects will update in real time based on configuration.
• Use permissions to bypass thirst for specific players/groups.

Compatibility

• PaperMC/Spigot 1.20+ (may work on other versions, but not guaranteed)
