InventorySwitcher
InventorySwitcher is a server-side Minecraft plugin that automatically manages separate inventories for different game modes. This plugin solves the common problem of item duplication and inventory conflicts that occur when players switch between Survival, Creative, Adventure, and Spectator modes.
What it does
When a player changes their game mode, InventorySwitcher automatically saves their current inventory and loads the inventory specific to their new game mode. This ensures that items obtained in Creative mode don't carry over to Survival mode, maintaining gameplay balance and server integrity.
Key Features
Automatic Inventory Management The plugin listens for game mode changes and handles inventory switching seamlessly without any player intervention required.
Persistent Data Storage All player inventories are stored in YAML files within the plugin's data folder, ensuring inventories persist across server restarts and crashes.
Configurable Game Mode Support Server administrators can enable or disable inventory separation for specific game modes (Survival, Creative, Adventure, Spectator) through the configuration file.
Auto-Save System Inventories are automatically saved every 5 minutes and when players disconnect, preventing data loss.
Zero Configuration Setup The plugin works immediately after installation with sensible defaults, while still offering full customization options.
Technical Information
InventorySwitcher is built for Paper/Spigot/Bukkit servers and supports Minecraft versions 1.18.x through 1.21.7. The plugin uses the Bukkit API to handle player game mode change events and inventory serialization. All data is stored locally on the server in human-readable YAML format.
The plugin has minimal performance impact and includes proper error handling to ensure server stability.
