HalveHPOnDeath - A Challenging Survival Mechanic

This plugin introduces a permanent consequence for dying in Minecraft, along with a way to recover through effort and resources.

What Happens When You Die: The first time you die, your maximum health is permanently cut in half. For example, if you had 10 hearts (20 health) before dying, you'll respawn with only 5 hearts (10 health). This health loss is permanent until you take specific steps to restore it. If you die again later, your health won't be halved again—it stays at the reduced amount.

How to Restore Your Health: After your health is halved, you'll automatically receive two special items in your inventory:

• A Restoration Book that explains what you need to do

• A Recipe Map that shows you how to craft the restoration item

To get your full health back, you must craft and consume an Apple of Life. This special apple requires rare resources to craft:

• Diamond Blocks

• Emerald Blocks

• Gold Blocks

• A regular Golden Apple

The Recipe Map shows you the exact crafting pattern you need to follow.

Important Details About the Special Items:

The Restoration Book and Recipe Map are bound to you— you can't drop them or put them in chests, 
but you can move them around in your own inventory.

Once you consume the Apple of Life and restore your health, these special items will disappear from your inventory.

If you die again after restoring your health, the cycle repeats: 
your health will be halved again, and you'll need to craft another Apple of Life to restore it.

Who Is This Plugin For? This plugin is perfect for players who want more consequence and challenge in their survival experience. It makes death meaningful and requires strategic resource gathering to recover from it. The plugin works on a per-player basis, so each player on a server manages their own health penalty and restoration.

The plugin is designed to be fair but challenging—while death has a severe penalty, the restoration method is clearly explained and achievable through dedicated resource gathering.
