When villagers have no player in 32 block range, they will get a vanilla NoAI:1 flag which completely turns off ALL behavior, even gravity! Very lightweight and impactful optimization. Use this plugin if you are ready to sacrifice villager gameplay for server performance. REQUIRES PAPER 1.21.4+
