Key Features
- Deep RPG Progression: Don't just get powers-earn them! Start as a novice and gain Force XP by using your abilities and defeating enemies. Level up to earn Force Points, which you can spend to unlock and upgrade your powers. Your progress is tracked on a dedicated XP bar so you always know how far you've come.
- Choose Your Path: Make the ultimate choice between the Light Side and the Dark Side. This decision determines your unique set of exclusive active abilities, your passive talents, and your final, permanent master rank.
- Expanded Rank System: Rise through a deep, six-tier rank structure unique to your chosen side. Light Side users ascend from "Padawan" all the way to "Force Transcendent", while Dark Side users climb from "Acolyte" to the feared "Sith Emperor". Every rank is a milestone in your journey.
- (New!) Passive Ability System: Choose your path and invest Force Points into a set of side-specific persistent talents that work in the background to make you stronger.
- Light Side: Unlock "Soothing Presence" for passive healing, "Deflecting Palm" to negate melee attacks, "Meditation" for faster energy recovery, and "Transcendence" to cheat death.
- Dark Side: Cultivate "Siphoning Strikes" for lifesteal, "Force Ferocity" for kill-triggered speed bursts, "Corrupted Energy" to inflict Wither, and "Blood Price" to spend health when Force Energy runs dry.
- Neutral: All players can unlock "Force Attunement" for a massive regeneration boost while standing still.
- (New!) Force Enchanting: Use your hard-earned Force Energy as fuel to channel power directly into your equipment! The /forceenchant (/fe) command opens an intuitive GUI where you can select and apply enchantments to the item in your hand-no experience levels, no enchanting tables. This powerful ability comes at a cost: spending large amounts of energy inflicts temporary debuffs like hunger and fatigue, making each use a meaningful tactical decision. Requires a Specialization to use.
- Expansive Ability System: Master a huge arsenal of 28 unique abilities across three categories:
- 4 Universal Abilities: Force Push, Force Pull, Force Sense, and the incredible Telekinesis.
- 12 Light Side Abilities: Defensive Force Barrier, Force Deflection, restorative Force Heal, Force Serenity, Force Stasis, and more.
- 12 Dark Side Abilities: Unleash Force Lightning, Chain Lightning, Force Choke, Force Crush, Force Drain, the terrifying Force Scream, Dark Aura, and more.
- Force Energy Boss Bar: Your Force Energy is displayed at all times as a color-coded boss bar at the top of your screen-blue for Light, red for Dark. Manage it wisely; it's the resource that powers all your abilities.
- Ambient Particle Effects: Holding your Holocron is a visual statement. Light Side users emanate a shimmer of glowing End Rod particles, while Dark Side users are wreathed in swirling crimson dust.
- Immersive Gameplay & Intuitive Controls: Experience the Force with spectacular, custom particle effects for every ability. All powers are channeled through a unique Holocron-simply hold it and use Shift + Scroll to intuitively cycle through your entire arsenal without messy keybinds. Feedback is cleanly displayed on your action bar, keeping your chat free.
- Multi-Version Support: Built to run on a wide range of server versions, from Minecraft 1.16 all the way through 1.21.x.
- Extremely Configurable: The extensive config.yml, ranks.yml, and the new passives.yml files give you control over everything: the leveling curve, XP rates, ability costs, passive stats, enchanting costs, and every single stat for every ability.
- Powerful Admin Controls: A full suite of admin commands (/fa) allows server owners to manage player data and reload the configuration on the fly.
- PlaceholderAPI Support: Seamlessly display a player's Force Level, Rank, and Side on any scoreboard, name tag, or chat plugin.
- SQLite Database: All player data is stored in a high-performance, reliable SQLite database with zero setup required.
Installation
- Download the ForcePlugin.jar file.
- Place the jar in your server's /plugins/ folder.
- (<Optional but Recommended>): Install PlaceholderAPI to use the custom placeholders.
- Start or restart your server. The necessary configuration files (config.yml, ranks.yml, passives.yml) will generate automatically.
- Customize the config files to your liking and use /fa reload to apply changes!
