Pinata Party
Smash the llama, win big.
By zArrowTan, part of Arrow Plugins.

Overview

A piñata spawns and your players swarm it. Every swing has a chance to register, the required hits scale with how many players are online, and the final break sets off a firework finale with rewards for everyone who joined in. Perfect for restarts, milestones, vote parties, or just keeping spawn alive.

Everything is config-driven: the mob, the spawn points, the hit chances, the reward pools, the fireworks, and every message. Floating hit counters are built in, so there is no hologram plugin to install unless you want one.

Dependencies

No required dependencies. Drop it in and go, floating text included. Two optional plugins each add something:

The Party

The Party Any mob as the piñata, with glow, particles and effects Hit count scales with the online player count Chance-based hits with anti-spam cooldowns Colour-cycling rainbow carpet on llama piñatas Fireworks, sounds and titles on the final break Your Control Named spawn points, fixed or random 3D zones Optional knockback with force, sound and particles Separate reward pools for hits, the last hit and the break ⚡ Your own commands fired when a party starts Custom fireworks, sounds and full hex messages

Run one piñata at a time or as many as you like, with a configurable maximum. Break rewards only go to players who actually hit it, so leechers miss out.

Spawn Points

Define unlimited spawn points across your worlds, each a fixed spot or a random point inside a 2D or full 3D zone. Save one with /pp setspawn <name> while standing where you want it.

Set the spot once, the party always knows where to land.

Instant Summons

/pp summon <location> starts a party at a saved spawn, and /pp summonhere starts one wherever you are standing. Good for spontaneous events or a quick staff test.

Floating Text, Zero Setup

A live hit counter over the piñata is built right in. Pick a style with pinata.hologram.provider and you are done:

No DecentHolograms or FancyHolograms required. Already run one? Set decentholograms, fancyholograms, or auto and they hook in automatically. none turns floating text off entirely.

Three Reward Pools

Any pool can run any command, so money, points, crate keys or items all work. Add min-rewards and max-rewards to a pool and it hands out a random number of different rewards each time, never repeating one, with chance acting as a weight against the other entries. Leave those keys out and the pool rolls each entry as a straight percentage instead.

⚡ Commands When a Party Starts

party-start-commands fires the moment the piñata spawns. The once list runs a single time, and the per-player list runs for every player online with %player% filled in. %location% gives the spawn point name in both.

Code (YAML):
party-start-commands:
  once
:
   - "broadcast &d&lPINATA PARTY &fhas started at &e%location%&f!"
  per-player
:
   - "effect give %player% speed 30 1"
Broadcasts sent this way arrive without another plugin putting its own label in front of them.

Colour Your Way

Every message, hologram line, and the piñata's own name:

Format Example
Legacy codes &aGreen &lBold
Hex &#FF8800, #FF8800, #{FF8800}, <SOLID:FF8800>
Gradient <gradient:#FF0000:#0000FF>fade</gradient>
Rainbow <RAINBOW>party time</RAINBOW>
Named palette &t7 coral, &u0 crimson, 125 in total

Three Languages Built In

English, French and Spanish ship in a lang folder. Set language: en_US, fr_FR or es_ES, and plain names or bare codes work too. Add your own file for anything else.

Language files carry a version and are kept up to date the same way config.yml is, so new messages appear in your file on update rather than showing as "Message not found".

⚡ Up and Running in 3 Steps

  1. Drop the jar in plugins/ and restart
  2. Stand where you want the party and run /pp setspawn main
  3. Launch it with /pp summon main and watch the chaos

⌨️ Commands

/pp summon <location> Start a party at a saved spawn
/pp summonhere Start a party at your location
/pp setspawn <name> Save a spawn point
/pp stop Stop the current party
/pp reload Reload the config without a restart
/pp help Show the help menu
