What is Borrowed Time?
Every player is given a personal countdown timer — and it never stops ticking. Your time is your life. Slay mobs to buy more seconds, but stand still too long and the clock drains twice as fast. The moment it hits zero, you're dead.
It turns an ordinary survival world into a frantic, high-pressure loop where standing around is a death sentence and every kill is a lifeline.

- Live countdown boss bar — every player sees their remaining time at a glance, color-coded green → yellow → red as it runs low.
- Earn time by killing — every mob kill adds seconds. Fully configurable rewards per mob type.
- Idle penalty — stand still too long and your timer drains faster. Keep moving, keep surviving.
- Death at zero — run out of time and you die, with a custom death message.
- Persistent timers — remaining time is saved across logouts and server restarts.
- Smart eligibility — exclude Creative/Spectator players, limit to specific worlds, or exempt staff with a permission.
- Admin commands — set, add, get, pause, and reload on the fly.
Tutorial & Cutscene
New players are eased in with a built-in cinematic tutorial — no need to explain the rules in chat or wikis. The first time someone joins, a scripted camera cutscene plays automatically, sweeping the view while titles and chat messages walk them through how the countdown works: earn time by killing, lose it by idling, and don't let the clock hit zero.- Plays on first join — every new player gets the full intro automatically.

Tune starting time, the maximum cap, base drain rate, idle penalty, idle threshold, per-mob rewards, excluded gamemodes, and world restrictions — all from a clean, commented config.yml.
