What is VDiamondEconomy?
VDiamondEconomy is the virtual currency layer that sits on top of DiamondEconomy. Players deposit physical diamonds into a reserve vault and receive VDiamonds (VD) at a guaranteed 1:1 rate. VDiamonds work with Vault — meaning every economy plugin on your server (JobsReborn, AuctionHouse, ChestShop, and more) uses them automatically with zero configuration.
The DiamondEconomy multiplier tells players what things should cost based on supply conditions. VDiamondEconomy enforces the currency layer that makes those prices real.
How the Economy Works
The fundamental rule is simple and never broken:
Code (Text):
Total VDiamonds in circulation == Total physical diamonds in reserve
- Deposit — Player gives 64 diamonds → receives VD 64. Reserve +64, Circulation +64.
- Withdrawal — Player gives VD 64 → receives 64 diamonds. Reserve −64, Circulation −64.
- Pay / Transfer — VD moves between players. Reserve unchanged. Net circulation unchanged (minus tax burned).
- Sinks (Tax / Decay) — VD burned, reserve unchanged. Circulation drops, creating a healthy buffer.
The deposit and withdrawal rate is always 1:1. The DiamondEconomy multiplier is display and suggestion only — it never affects how many VDiamonds you get when depositing or withdrawing.
Features
- Vault Economy Provider — Registers as the server's Vault economy automatically. Every Vault-compatible plugin works out of the box with no extra setup.
- 1:1 Diamond Peg — Deposit and withdrawal rate is always 1 diamond = 1 VDiamond. This never changes regardless of market conditions.
- Physical Reserve — Every VDiamond in circulation is backed by a real diamond sitting in the reserve vault. The balance sheet is audited on startup and on a configurable schedule.
- Player Pay — Send VDiamonds directly to another player with /vd pay. Tax is applied transparently, receiver gets the net amount.
- Transaction Tax — Configurable percentage burned on every Vault transaction. Reduces circulation over time, building a healthy reserve buffer.
- Inactivity Decay — Optional. Periodically burns a small percentage of idle balances to prevent supply stagnation.
- Upgrade Purchases — Optional. Players spend VDiamonds on configurable server perks via /vd buy.
- Land Claim Cost — Optional. Burn VDiamonds when players claim land (GriefPrevention / Towny).
- Full Audit System — Every deposit, withdrawal, transfer, tax burn, and admin action is logged to CSV files. Audits run on startup and on a schedule. Critical reserve deficits alert all online admins instantly.
- Supply-Aware Placeholders — PlaceholderAPI integration shows live balance, supply status, multiplier trend, and suggested prices for any configured item.
- Tab Completion — All commands support full tab completion including online player names and common amounts.
- Bedrock Compatible — Works with Geyser + Floodgate. Bedrock players use all commands identically.
- No Fractional Currency — All balances are whole numbers. No decimals, no rounding errors, no exploits.

Audit and Safety
VDiamondEconomy runs a full balance sheet audit on every startup, on a configurable schedule (default every 6 hours), and on demand via /vdadmin audit.
- Discrepancy = 0 — Perfect balance. Reserve equals circulation exactly.
- Discrepancy > 0 — Healthy buffer. Tax and sink burns created extra reserve backing.
- Discrepancy < 0 — Critical. VDiamonds exist without physical backing. All online admins are notified immediately and a full breakdown is logged.
Every action is written to one of three append-only CSV logs:
- vdiamond_ledger.csv — Every VDiamond creation and destruction (deposits, withdrawals, burns)
- vdiamond_transactions.csv — Every Vault transfer and player pay
- vdiamond_admin_log.csv — Every admin action with timestamp and reason
