A fully simulated commodity economy for Paper 1.21.1
Pool-based price discovery · Companies · Stocks · Live Charts · Vault
Paper 1.21.1 · Vault Ready · Free · v9.0.0 · Requires Java 21
What is DiamondEconomy?
DiamondEconomy turns diamonds into a real commodity market. The price of diamonds rises when they are scarce in the market, falls when they are abundant, and drifts with natural market momentum between player actions. Every buy and sell from the market immediately moves the price — this is real price discovery, not a static formula.
Players mine to earn currency, craft to consume supply, trade shares in player-owned companies, post sell orders in a peer order book, and buy lottery tickets that burn currency. The economy is entirely self-regulating — no admin intervention needed after initial setup.
Requires Paper 1.21.1. Not compatible with Spigot.
How the price works
Three systems work together to create a realistic commodity market.
1. Pool-based pricing (primary)
Code (Text):
price = basePrice × (poolTarget ÷ pool) ^ elasticity
2. Growing base-supply (long-term stability)
An internal value drifts toward total world diamond supply each momentum tick. This prevents permanent deflation as the server ages — no matter how many diamonds get mined over months of play, the economy always gravitates back toward equilibrium.
3. NPC demand (market floor)
Every momentum tick the server automatically buys a few diamonds from the pool, funded by the server treasury (which collects tax and fee revenue). This creates baseline price activity during quiet hours and prevents the pool from permanently draining to zero.
Core Economy Features
✔ Pool-based price discovery — every trade moves the market immediately
✔ Fortune-aware mining (actual drops counted, not raw ore)
✔ Crafting, smithing, lava, fire, void, TNT and explosions all tracked
✔ Shulker box contents tracked on destruction
✔ NPC demand — server baseline buyer each momentum tick
✔ Growing base-supply — long-term deflation prevention
✔ Server treasury collects sign shop tax + market fee; funds NPC and pool auto-fill
✔ Momentum model — prices trend and reverse naturally over hours
✔ Supply decay keeps economy balanced long-term
✔ Minimum sell price floor — selling never becomes worthless
✔ Market buy fee (2%) routes to server treasury
✔ Per-player sidebar scoreboard with color-coded pool status
✔ Vault integration — works with any Vault-compatible plugin
✔ Fully configurable currency name (default: $BLOCK)
Sign Shops
✔ Place a sign on any chest to create a player shop
✔ [Buy] and [Sell] sign types for any item
✔ Admin shops with infinite stock (no chest required)
✔ Transaction tax routes to server treasury
Sign format: Line 1: [Buy] or [Sell] · Line 2: quantity · Line 3: price · Line 4: item name
Companies and Stock Market
✔ Found companies with a currency deposit using /company create
✔ Issue shares on the stock market — shares go into a company float
✔ CEO buys shares like any other investor (no self-dealing exploit)
✔ Pay dividends to all shareholders proportionally
✔ Peer order book — list your shares at your own price, trade player-to-player
✔ Last trade price displayed for real market price discovery
✔ Auto-liquidation when treasury depletes (configurable grace period)
✔ Multi-company CEO support with /company select
✔ 7-day share price history and trend arrow
Lottery
Players buy tickets with /dlottery buy [n]. 80% of each ticket goes to the jackpot, 20% to the server treasury. A winner is drawn every 6 hours (configurable), weighted by ticket count, announced server-wide. A voluntary currency sink that drives player engagement and funds the server treasury.
Live Map Charts
✔ Real-time price history rendered on Minecraft maps in item frames
✔ Three sizes: 1×1 (1 map), 2×1 (2 maps), 3×2 dashboard (6 maps)
✔ Diamond market charts and company stock charts
✔ Auto-refreshes every momentum tick with live data
✔ Charts persist across server restarts
Usage: /dchart give diamond dashboard → receive 6 maps → place in a 3×2 item frame grid
