How It Works

Behavior Analysis:
Monitors how quickly players find ores. X-Ray users typically find ores much faster than legitimate players.

Path Analysis:
Analyzes mining paths. X-Ray users tend to mine in straight lines toward ores, while legitimate players explore naturally.

Fake Ore Testing:
Spawns client-side fake ores that only the player can see. If they mine directly to it or look at it through walls, they're using X-Ray.

Suspicion Scoring:
Each detection adds points. When thresholds are reached, admins are notified and configurable actions are executed.

• ~80% accuracy with default settings
• ~90% accuracy when properly tuned for your server
• Path-based scoring reduces false positives
• Exposed ore detection prevents cave mining false positives

Installation

1. Download VeinGuard-1.0.jar
2. Place in your server's plugins folder
3. Restart your server
4. Configure plugins/VeinGuard/config.yml
5. (Optional) Set up Discord webhook
6. Done! Use /vg to access GUI

⚠️ IMPORTANT WARNINGS

• ~80% Detection Accuracy: This plugin achieves approximately 80% accuracy with default settings. NO ANTI-CHEAT IS 100% ACCURATE! Always manually verify suspicious players before taking action. False positives can occur.
  
• Cluster Analysis Warning: The "Cluster Analysis" module is DISABLED BY DEFAULT because it can produce false positives when players mine large natural ore veins. DO NOT ENABLE this module unless you understand the risks and can manually verify all detections.
  
• Manual Verification Required: Use this plugin as a MONITORING TOOL, not an automatic ban system. Review all high-risk detections manually before banning players.
  
• Tuning Required: Default settings work for vanilla servers. Modded servers, skyblock, or custom mining mechanics may require threshold adjustments to reduce false positives.
  
• Performance: Minimal impact, optimized for large servers.
