What is NoBuildNearVillages?
NoBuildNearVillages is a lightweight protection plugin that automatically prevents players from placing or breaking blocks within a configurable radius around naturally generated villages. It uses the server’s structure system to detect all vanilla village types, so you don’t need to define any regions or flags, just drop it in, configure the radius, and your villages are protected. Players with the proper permission can bypass the protection when needed. Beds are allowed
Spoiler: Showcase
- Automatic village detection
Protects around all vanilla village variants (plains, desert, taiga, snowy, savanna) without any manual setup. - Configurable protection radius
Set how many blocks around each village center are treated as a “no build” zone with protection-radius in config.yml. - Configurable search distance
Tune how far the plugin looks for the nearest village structure with structure-search-radius for accuracy vs. performance. - Bypass for trusted players/staff
Grant a single permission to allow building and breaking inside protected village zones. - Performance‑friendly
Uses a per‑chunk cache so structure lookups aren’t run on every single block event.
Permissions:
- nobuildnearvillages.bypass - Allows the player to place and break blocks near villages, ignoring the protection.
