WinterDay is an atmospheric plugin that brings harsh and realistic winter to your Minecraft worlds.
Unlike outdated plugins that simply spawn laggy particles above players’ heads, WinterDay works directly with the game mechanics. It dynamically replaces biomes around players with Snowy Plains.

Why choose WinterDay?

Real snow physics
Thanks to biome replacement, snow falls naturally using Minecraft’s engine. It accumulates into snow layers, water freezes into ice, and the sky becomes covered with gray clouds.

Winter everywhere
Snow will fall even in deserts, jungles, or savannas. The plugin makes the game “forget” that the biome was originally warm.

Frosty breath effect
Players occasionally exhale visible breath vapor accompanied by a realistic breathing sound. This adds incredible immersion to the game.

Full customization
You can change the breathing sound, its volume, snow radius, and all plugin messages.

Optimized
The plugin modifies biomes only within a small radius around active players, avoiding unnecessary world generation load.

Commands

Permissions

• winter.use — Allows viewing plugin help (default: everyone).
  
  
• winter.toggle — Allows toggling winter on/off (default: OP).
  
  
• winter.reload — Allows reloading the config (default: OP).
  
  
• winter.* — Grants full access to all plugin functions.
  
  
  Biome changes made by the plugin are saved to the world.
  If you want to restore your biomes (e.g., turn a desert back into a desert), you must use WorldEdit or other biome-editing tools, since Minecraft saves chunk modifications.
