How It Works


This plugin works in two parts:

1. The EmojiChat plugin (this resource) runs on your server. It reads the chat and replaces the text codes smile with a special character.
   
   
2. The EmojiChat Resource Pack is installed on the player's client. It tells Minecraft to render that special character as your custom emoji image.

For the plugin to work, your players MUST have the resource pack installed.

Installation

1. Stop your server.
   
   
2. Place the EmojiChat.jar file into your server's plugins folder.
   
   
3. Place the required resource pack where players can download it (we recommend setting it in your server.properties file).
   
   
4. Start your server. The config.yml will be generated.
   
   
5. Edit the config.yml to match the emojis in your resource pack.
   
   
6. Run the command /emojis reload. You're ready to go!

Commands & Permissions


Commands:

• /emojis - Displays a list of all available emojis.
  • Permission: None
• /emojis reload - Reloads the emojis from the config.yml file.
  • Permission: emojichat.reload
