Better Name Visibility Mod (1.21.11, 1.20.1) – Enhanced Name Tag Visibility

Better Name Visibility Mod improves the clarity of all vanilla-rendered names for improved readability.It provides an option to toggle enhanced rendering on or off at any time. It also offers a configurable keybinding (default: “+”) for quick adjustments.

Features:

• This mod improves the visibility of all vanilla name tags in the game, making them easier to read in different environments such as darkness, water, or long distances.
• You can toggle the improved rendering on or off at any time using a configurable key (Default: +).
• All settings are accessible through YACL and can be edited easily using Mod Menu.

Foreground Color

• Controls the text color and opacity of name tags.
• Default value: fully opaque white.

Background Color

• Controls the background color behind name tags.
• Default value: semi-transparent black.

Fullbright Names

• Name tags are no longer affected by light level.
• Only applies to names not hidden behind blocks.
• Enabled by default.

Distant Name Scaling

• Adjusts name size based on distance.
• Range: 0.0 (no scaling) to 1.0 (same size at all distances).
• Default value: 0.2.

Render Names at Any Distance

• Removes the default 64-block name render limit.
• Recommended only when distance scaling is enabled.
• Disabled by default.

Disable Team Colors

• Prevents team colors from overriding custom text colors.
• Disabled by default.

Shader Compatibility

• Behavior may vary depending on the shader pack.
• Some shaders may not support rendering names through walls.
