Better Combat Mod (26.2, 1.20.1) – Animated Combat System

Better Combat Mod is a mod that incorporates combat animations and interactions from Minecraft Dungeons, another game by Mojang that is much more focused on combat. Minecraft has very few combat animations, unlike Minecraft Dungeons, which is heavily focused on that. With Better Combat, the combat style inspired by Minecraft Dungeons has been implemented in Minecraft Java, allowing players to enjoy better animations.

• Weapons have combos (each attack in the combo can be different in many ways)

• Two-handed weapons ignore offhand slot (melee and ranged weapons also supported)
• Movement speed reduction while attacking (Server configurable)
• Cancel attack during upswing (aka “feint”) (Client configurable)
• Hold attack key to spam attack (Client configurable)
• Target in hitbox indication (Client configurable)
• Swing thru grass (Client configurable)
• Can disable mining with weapons (Client configurable)
• Sweeping Edge enchantment reworked
