Defile Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.2) – Become an Inkling and Paint the World Black

Defile Mod lets you become a creature made of living ink. You can trigger a special eclipse that covers the entire world in a dark liquid called Funeral Ink. While in your ink form, you can dive into this liquid to move around, heal quickly, and hide from hostile mobs. This new form also removes the hunger bar and prevents you from taking any fall damage.

Features:

• Transform into a special ink creature, known as an Inkling.
• Start a world-changing Eclipse event that covers the land in black ink.
• Adds new items like the Sun Effigy and the Totem of Uncleansing.
• Gain unique abilities and powers when you are in your Inkling form.

New Items and Blocks

• Funeral Ink: A special black liquid that can coat the sides of any solid block. It also slows down any mob that walks on it.
• Sun Effigy: Craft this item with gold blocks and a sunflower. Dropping it into Funeral Ink starts the Eclipse.
• Totem of Uncleansing: A rare totem sometimes dropped by Evokers. If you die while holding it, you will turn into an Inkling for five minutes.

The Inkling Form

• As an Inkling, you no longer need to eat. Instead, your health will slowly regenerate over time.
• You can’t sprint, but you get a new “Diving” ability. Press the sprint key to dive into ink.
• While diving, you are safe from most types of damage, and hostile mobs won’t target you.
• Diving also heals you very quickly and lets you spread Funeral Ink around you.
• You can walk and dive on water if it’s covered with a layer of Funeral Ink.
• You will never take fall damage. Instead of getting hurt, you will automatically go into dive mode when you land.

Eclipse and Black Rain

• The Eclipse event lasts for two hours after it is started.
• During the Eclipse, black ink will slowly spread across the world in areas near any Inkling players.
• If you are already an Inkling, the Eclipse will keep refreshing your transformation timer so it doesn’t run out.

Commands:

• You can start the Black Rain event at any time using the command /defile blackRain [duration]. This is available to all players.
• The main /defile command accesses extra debug commands. These are bonus features for supporters.

How to Use:

1. Start an Eclipse: Drop a Sun Effigy into Funeral Ink to start the eclipse event. It will last for two hours.
2. Become an Inkling: If you die while holding a Totem of Uncleansing, you will respawn as an Inkling for five minutes. The eclipse will keep refreshing this timer.
3. Dive as an Inkling: Press the sprint key while on Funeral Ink to dive. This makes you almost invincible, hides you from most mobs, and regenerates your health fast.
4. Control the Weather: You can use the command /defile blackRain [duration] to start the Black Rain at any time.
5. Customize Your Look (Supporters): To change your Inkling’s appearance, right-click a Totem of Uncleansing while in Inkling form to open the menu. This is a bonus for supporters.
