Better Enchanting Mod (1.21.10, 1.21.8) – Skill-Tree Enchanting

Better Enchanting Mod transforms the enchanting system in Minecraft into a more strategic and exploration-driven process. Instead of simply using enchanted books, players now follow a skill-tree approach where specific enchantments require unique items or blocks to be applied. This new system encourages exploration and progression, making it impossible to fully gear up before major challenges like fighting the Ender Dragon. The enchanting table’s UI has been overhauled to display all possible enchantments for the item placed, and an “Enchantment Ingredient” slot has been added for the necessary materials.

Features:

• Skill-Tree Enchanting: Enchantments require specific items or blocks.
• Reworked Enchanting Table: New UI displays all available enchantments based on surrounding bookshelves.
• Enchantment Ingredients: Unique materials are needed for each enchantment, enhancing the exploration aspect.
• Anvil Changes: No XP required for repairs, but XP is still needed for renaming items.
• No Enchanted Books: Enchanted books are replaced with enchantment ingredients in loot and trades.
• Expanded Enchantments: More tools and items can receive enchantments, like Efficiency on shears and Thorns on all armor pieces.
• No Item Combining: Enchanted items can’t be combined in an anvil.
