Fireflies Mod (1.21.4, 1.20.1) – Adds Fireflies Into The Game

Fireflies were something that Mojang intended to add to the vanilla game. But they later dropped the idea due to many reasons. This left a lot of players disappointed. Worry no more! As Fireflies Mod is here to introduce fireflies into the game. With this mod installed, fireflies will spawn at nighttime when the player walks on grass blocks or leaves in a swamp biome. The fireflies are a hybrid between a particle and a mob, and therefore do not have health points on their own. They can be summoned using the /summon command.
