Item Scrapper Mod (1.20.1, 1.20) – Never Waste Old Gear Again

Item Scrapper Mod adds a special workbench for breaking down your items into their original materials. You can dismantle tools, armor, and other equipment to get back some of the resources used to make them. This mod is fully customizable through datapacks, but it requires a content pack to work correctly.

Features:

• Adds a Scrapping Workbench, a 2×1 multiblock station where items are placed.
• Includes a Scrapping Hammer tool used to physically break down items.
• Shows your progress with visual particles, sounds, and other effects.
• Item durability can affect how many materials you get back.
• Configure what materials you get by using the item’s original crafting recipe or a custom loot table.
• Some items can have a chance to explode during the scrapping process.
• Use a keybind (P by default) to quickly place items onto the workbench.
• Features built-in support for items from the TACZ and PointBlank mods.
• Can automatically generate configuration templates to help you add support for other mods.

Controls and Commands:

• Place Item: Press the ‘P’ key (can be changed) or right-click to place an item on the workbench.
• Scrap Item: Left-click an item on the workbench with the Scrapping Hammer.
• Collect Items: Right-click the workbench to take the resulting materials. Shift + Right-click to take everything.
• Reload Configs: Use the /reload command to update scrapping recipes from datapacks without restarting the game.

How to Use:

1. First, ensure you have a content pack or datapack for the mod. The mod will not work without one.
2. Craft the Scrapping Table and the Scrapping Hammer.
3. Place the Scrapping Table in the world.
4. Put an item you want to scrap onto the table.
5. Hit the item with your Scrapping Hammer to break it apart and collect the materials.
