This is an unfortunate scenario that occurred because you did not check your elytra’s remaining durability. Elytra HUD Mod is here to assist you. As the name suggests, this mod adds a HUD element showing you the remaining durability of your equipped elytra. When the durability falls below 4.6%, the mod actually gives you a warning.
