Better Loot Mod (1.21.8, 1.20.1) – Improved Chest Loot

Better Loot Mod is a Minecraft mod that overhauls vanilla loot tables, making exploration and combat far more rewarding. It’s designed to align loot drops with player expectations while adding new items and buffs to spice up gameplay.

Features:

Improved Chest Loot:

• Dungeons, pyramids, and ruins now contain more valuable items.
• Adds movement boots, health boost armor, and rare potions to loot pools.
• Reduces filler items like saddles and name tags in favor of useful gear.

Enhanced Mob Drops:

• Most mobs now drop bones or bone meal based on size.
• Aggressive mobs have a 2% chance to drop emeralds.
• Special mobs drop enchanted items:
  • Ghasts: Enchanted ghast tears
  • Iron Golems: Enchanted iron ingots
  • Shulkers: Always drop 2 shells
  • Phantoms: Chance to drop elytra (with 0 durability)

Player Drops:

• Players drop their own head when killed by another player-including themselves.

New Items & Buffs:

• Health Boost Armor: Found in dungeons and end cities; boosts max health.
• Potions: Resistance, haste, luck, and more added to loot tables.
• Petal of the Wind: A new item found in jungle temples.
