Friendly Fire Mod (26.2, 1.20.1) – Fight with Your Pets Safely

Friendly Fire Mod protects your pets from accidental damage. You no longer have to worry about your pets jumping in front of your attacks or accidentally misclicking with a weapon. It helps solve the common problem of hurting your own tamed mobs during combat. If you need to attack a protected mob, you can simply sneak while attacking to bypass the protection.

Configuration:

This mod provides several datapack entity tags to customize which mobs are protected and what items can bypass protection.

• friendlyfire:bypass_pet: An item tag that allows items to bypass pet protections.
• friendlyfire:bypass_all: An item tag that allows items to bypass all protections offered by the mod.
• friendlyfire:general_protection: An entity tag that allows other mobs, like villagers, to be granted protection from combat damage.
