King Frog 2.0 — Changelog

Boss Visual Overhaul

• Added a dedicated particle system for the King Frog Boss, replacing the old vanilla particles:
  • Toxin Mist — rising green poison fog, used for Poison Croak, the toxic pool left by Leap Slam, and the burst on a landed Tongue Pull
  • Tongue Whip — pink mucus-trail particle for the boss's tongue-grab attack
  • Impact Burst — debris shards flying out when the boss slams the ground (Leap Slam)
  • Death Shatter — purple-green explosion effect when the boss falls
• Added a passive toxic aura that drifts off the boss even while idle, giving it a stronger sense of presence
• Added camera shake for players hit by Leap Slam
• Leap Slam now layers two effects: a close debris shockwave + an outer poison ring
• On death, the poison now bursts outward in 3 timed waves instead of a single effect

Balance Changes

King Frog Boss: Health reduced from 800 → 450

King Frog Boss: Melee attack damage reduced from 8 → 5

King Frog Boss: Attack cooldown increased from 1.5s → 1.8s (slower attack speed)

King Frog Boss: Knockback resistance reduced from 1.0 → 0.6

Lily Pad minion: Melee attack range drastically reduced from 20 blocks → 3 blocks (was a bug causing hits from absurd distances)

Lily Pad minion: Max health reduced from 10 → 6

New Boss Skills

Added a brand-new Script API–driven skill system for the King Frog Boss (previously had no active combat skills):

• Tongue Pull (long range) — pulls the player in, deals damage, applies Poison

• Leap Slam (mid range) — leaps and slams down near the player for area damage, knockback, and Poison

• Poison Croak (close range) — releases spreading poison rings that poison and slow nearby players

Skills are chosen automatically based on distance to the player, each with its own cooldown

King Frog Boss adds a massive boss frog along with its lily pad minions to Minecraft Bedrock, complete with a unique frog-skin armor set and a regenerating crown.

Boss: King Frog

- 800 HP, massive scale (2.3x), fully integrated with the vanilla boss HUD bar.

- 4 rotating skills (every 8 seconds):

  - Slam— smashes the ground for area damage and knocks back players within a 6-block radius.

  - Croak— a poisonous roar that inflicts Poison + Nausea on players within an 8-block radius.

  - Tongue Pull — yanks the nearest player toward the boss and applies Slowness III.

  - Summon— calls a ring of Lily Pad minions around itself.

- Enrage mechanic: at 50% and 25% health, the boss automatically summons an extra wave of minions.

- The Crown grants continuous Resistance while worn.

Minion: Lily Pad

- Has both a melee attack (inflicts Nausea) and a ranged tongue-lash attack that strikes players from 2–5 blocks away, dealing damage and a light knockback.

- Spawned periodically by the boss and on health-threshold triggers.

Gear & Items

- Frog Armor set (helmet/chestplate/leggings/boots), crafted from Frog Skin + copper armor pieces.

- Crown — provides continuous health regeneration/resistance while equipped.

- Giant Frog Leg / Cooked Giant Frog Leg — food items that grant speed, jump boost, and regeneration effects (stronger when cooked).

Spawn Egg Crafting

The King Frog Boss spawn egg can be crafted using pure vanilla survival ingredients:

Loot Drops

- King Frog Boss: Frog Skin, Giant Frog Leg, Crown (plus a chance to drop a random wooden button).

Installation

Download the `.mcaddon` file and open it with Minecraft to automatically import both the Behavior Pack and Resource Pack. Enable both packs when creating or editing a world (Beta APIs / Holiday Creator Features must be enabled for the Script API to function).
