Equipment Compare Mod (1.21.4, 1.20.1) – Displaying Side-by-side Descriptions

Equipment Compare Mod is a mod that allows you to compare equipment by displaying the information of the equipped item alongside the description of the selected item. This is especially useful in games with many mods installed that add a wide variety of unique items. One standout feature of this mod is that it directly shows the description of the equipped item next to that of the item you’re hovering over. This provides greater compatibility with new statistics and features added to items by other mods. By default, you can view comparative descriptions by holding down the Shift key while hovering over an item. This function is configurable in the controls section of the inventory menu, allowing you to change the assigned key or reverse the behavior so that comparisons are always displayed unless the designated key is held.

Features:

• Side-by-Side Tooltips: Displays the tooltip of the equipped item next to the tooltip of the item you’re hovering over, allowing for easy comparison.
• By default, comparisons are shown when holding the Shift key while hovering over an item. This behavior can be reversed or customized in the controls menu.
• Options to adjust the color and text of the “equipped” badge displayed above tooltips.
• Allows you to specify item IDs to exclude from comparisons.
• Fully client-side, meaning it doesn’t affect server performance.
