Water Source Mod (1.18.2, 1.16.5) – Realistic Thirst Mechanic

Water Source Mod adds a realistic thirst mechanic to Minecraft. Now, in addition to food, you need to drink water and monitor your thirst level. To safely drink natural water, you will need to purify it using filters. Your character will have a new meter – thirst. It will deplete at different rates depending on your actions: running, walking, swimming, being in the sun, or in a hot biome will change your water consumption. If the meter runs out, you will experience negative effects such as slowness and weakness. The mod introduces a cup and a special bottle for carrying drinking water. You can obtain drinkable water using filters in a special setup. If you drink dirty or salty water, you will suffer negative effects, your thirst meter will deplete rapidly, and you will die. The mod also adds a coconut tree that can be found in desert and beach biomes. You can collect coconuts from the palm, which provide simple food and drink (though you need a bottle for milk). Additionally, coconut trees can be used to create classic wooden blocks.

Features:

• Thirst Mechanic: Players must monitor their thirst level, represented by a new meter, which depletes based on activities like running, swimming, exposure to sunlight, or being in hot biomes. Dehydration leads to negative effects such as slowness and weakness.
• Water Purification: Natural water sources must be purified using filters to make them safe for drinking. Drinking untreated or salty water causes harmful effects and rapid thirst depletion.
• New Items: The mod introduces items like cups and special bottles to collect and transport drinking water.
• Coconut Trees: Adds coconut trees found in desert and beach biomes. Coconuts provide a source of food and drink (with the help of a bottle). Coconut trees can also be used to craft wooden blocks.
