It changes nothing for the single player experience, but may grant you additional features on servers.
Features:
- Modpack rewards, notifies the server what modpack is in use, used by servers to give you rewards for using their modpack.
- Auto reconnect, reconnects to servers that use the ambassador plugin to switch between realms.
