In the vanilla game, zombies only drop a few items like rotten flesh, carrots, iron ingots and potatoes. Out of these, rotten flesh is the most common drop. Zombies being the most spawned monster at night, it is fair to say that you will end up with stacks of rotten flesh after you battle and survive monsters for a few nights. But rotten flesh is absolutely useless and is of no real use to the player. Zombie Apocalypse Drops Mod aims to make killing zombies a lot more rewarding. This mod essentially improves the loot tables of zombies so that they drop more items. A list of new items are listed below.

Zombies now have a chance of dropping these items:
- Gunpowder
- Bone
- String
- Spider eye
- Phantom membrane
- Ender pearls
- Carrots (is a standard Zombie drop, only the drop chance can be changed with this mod)
- Potatoes (is a standard Zombie drop, only the drop chance can be changed with this mod)
- Blaze rod (turned off in the default config)
- Nether wart (turned off in the default config)
