This mod is mainly intended to be used alongside mods like Serene Seasons and Fabric Seasons. The first fix done by this mod is the snow recalculation done upon chunk loading. This ensures that winter chunks do not exist in the summer. The second feature is the change in the duration of days and nights during winter. If the season is winter, the nights will be longer than usual.
