Call of Yucatán Mod (1.20.1) – Maya's Mythology

Call of Yucatán Mod introduces two new dungeons inspired by Mayan and Aztec mythology into the jungle. The Overgrown Temple, a sanctuary of the god Kukulkan, and the Deadly Crypt, a tomb of Mayan soldiers and a temple of Ah Puch; these ancient structures will immerse you in the spirit of exploration and reward players with valuable resources.

Features:

New Dungeons:

• The first dungeon you may encounter is the Overgrown Temple. It’s a Maya temple made of ruins held together by indestructible vines. In the past, the people offered tributes to Kukulkan in this temple, and used mathematical advancements related to the calculation of celestial bodies like the moon, as well as light-reflecting technology. It’s mainly built of Red Limestone and Ancient Gold, to pay tribute to Kukulkan.
• The second dungeon is the Deadly Crypt. In this tomb rest Maya soldiers who died in great battles, now haunted by their lost spirits. This monument was built in enemy territory and is therefore filled with traps. According to legend, a jade deposit lies beneath the Maya cemetery of the crypt. It’s mainly built of Ritual Stone and Jade, to pay tribute to Ah Puch.

New Weapons:

• Macuahuitl: Wooden weapon with obsidian fragments, sharp but fragile. Enchantable with “Ritual Slaughter” for increased damage to humanoid creatures (players, villagers, illagers).
• Spears: Long-range weapons available in wood, flint, and obsidian.
• Tecpatls: Lightweight Aztec daggers for rapid attacks. Enchantable with “Toxic Blade” (poisons enemies) or “Double Edge” (additional strike after first attack).

Compatibility: Integrates with “Yucutan Combat” for Better Combat support.

New Enemies:

• Undead Maya Warriors: Wield Macuahuitl or Spears in dungeons.
• Huracàn: Wind spirit possessing bones, attacks with poison darts.

Masks:

• Dropped by enemies, wearable for buffs.
• Warrior Mask: Increases attack speed.
• Huracán Mask: Reduces gravity effect.

Idols and Blessings:

• Ah Puch Idol (Deadly Crypt):
  • Offer Alchemy items during New Moon for Ah Puch’s Bless (increased resistance).
  • Breaking idol without Bless summons Ah Puch’s avatar, using shockwaves and summoning undead monkeys. Avatar’s abilities vary by title (e.g., The Lord of Death).
• Kukulkan Idol (Overgrown Temple):
  • Offer Gems during Full Moon for Kukulkan’s Bless (increased speed).
  • Breaking idol without Bless summons Kukulkan’s avatar, using ground blows to hurl players. Damage via light beams redirected with Reflectors or Hematite Shield.

Fragments and Artifacts:

• Defeating avatars grants Fragments.
• Fist of Doom: Creates shockwaves like Ah Puch.
• Wand of Luminance: Shoots burning Solar Ray like Kukulkan.

Mayan Technology (Overgrown Temple):

• Solar Projectors: Emit Solar Rays, redirectable with Reflectors.
• Hematite Blocks: Redirect light in one direction or vertically.
• Solar Rays: Burn Mystical Vine blocks and Overgrown Chests.

Mystic Vines:

• Obtained by burning Mystical Vine blocks with Solar Rays.
• Used to summon a stone jaguar (runs on water with CTRL, carries 2 players) with 3 aligned Ritual Rocks during rain.
• Craftable into tools like the Vine Hook.

Golden Guard:

• Stronger Iron Golem variant made of Ancient Gold, summonable with Kukulkan’s Bless.
• Summoning reduces Bless duration by 10 minutes per Golem.

Chili Pepper Crop:

• Rare plant found in dungeons, seeds obtainable by Sniffers in jungles.
• Craftable into Xocolatl, a spicy chocolate brew that extends god Blessings.
