Old Guns Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.4) – Black Powder Base Defense

Old Guns Mod adds a collection of black powder firearms and artillery from the 15th to 19th centuries. You can defend your home with everything from pistols and muskets to cannons. To get started, you will need to craft parts and smelt bullets to assemble your new weapons.

• Adds a tiered system of firearms: Matchlock, Wheellock, Flintlock, Caplock, and Rimfire.
• Craft a variety of weapons, including Derringers, Pistols, Carbines, Muskets, and Blunderbusses.
• Build heavy artillery pieces like naval guns, field cannons, and rockets.
• Guns come in different weight classes that affect gameplay; light pistols can be dual-wielded, while large firearms are powerful but slow you down.
• Weather affects how guns work. Matchlock guns fail in rain, while more advanced types are more reliable in bad weather.
• Weapons have a condition that wears down over time. Poorly maintained guns can misfire or even explode.
• Use repair kits or parts from other guns to keep your firearms in good condition.
• Find design notes in dungeons, shipwrecks, and villages to unlock powerful exotic weapons.

How to Use:

1. Reload most firearms by placing them in the crafting menu with ammunition.
2. Aim and fire the weapons just like you would use a bow in Minecraft.
3. Some multi-barreled guns let you fire multiple shots before reloading each barrel one by one.
4. Breech-loading weapons can be reloaded quickly, taking ammo and powder directly from your inventory.
