Simple Flashlight Mod (1.20.1) – Torches That Actually Work

Most mods that add torches into the game just add a retextured version of the torch item and might increase the radius of the light. The problem with these types of lighting items is that they require OptiFine’s Dynamic Lighting feature to work. But what about people who don’t use OptiFine? Simple Flashlight Mod is here with an ideal solution. The torch item added by this mod will not emit any light and therefore does not require OptiFine to work. This is because the torch added by this mod just gives the player the Night Vision effect when the torch is held in hand. This is much more effective and easier to use than other light sources which actually emit light.
