Waila Stages Mod (1.12.2, 1.11.2) – Make Information a Reward

Waila Stages Mod allows for access to the Waila HUD to be gated behind a stage. You can gate specific tool tip entries behind a stage as well. To learn more about stages, you should check out the Game Stages mod’s description. To give a brief rundown, stages are an abstract concept, and players can unlock them. The way players can go about unlocking them is up to the modpack/server.

There are two script methods available:

• mods.WailaStages.addWailaStage(String stage); – Replace the stage string with the name of the stage. This will then make it so players require that stage to view the Waila HUD.
• mods.WailaProgression.addRequirement(String stage, String prefix); – Replace the stage string with the name of the stage. Then replace the prefix with with text of the info you want to restrict. If the tooltip line starts with the word Power, adding Power as the prefix will restrict that line to the stage.

Features:

• Hide the entire Waila/Hwyla HUD until a player unlocks a specific game stage.
• Restrict individual lines of information within the tooltip based on a player’s progress.
• Integrates with the Game Stages mod to manage progression.
• All restrictions are configured using CraftTweaker scripts.

Commands:

This mod uses CraftTweaker script methods to set up restrictions:

• mods.WailaStages.addWailaStage(String stage);
• mods.WailaProgression.addRequirement(String stage, String prefix);

How to Use:

1. To hide the entire Waila HUD, use the AddWailaStage method. Replace the ‘stage’ string with the name of the stage required to see the HUD.
2. To hide a specific line in the tooltip, use the AddRequirement method. Replace ‘stage’ with the required stage name and ‘prefix’ with the starting word of the info line you want to hide (for example, “Power”).
