Deepslate was added into Minecraft in the 1.167 update. This was added as a part of the caves and cliffs update and deepslate was meant to replace stone in the new deeper y-levels in the overworld. Deepslate is just a darker, harder version of stone. Stone, upon being broken, gives you cobblestone. Likewise, deepslate upon being broken gives cobbled deepslate. Both cobblestone and cobbled deepslate can then be smelted in a furnace to convert them into stone and cobblestone respectively. Stone is an infinite resource. You can build a simple stone generator using some lava and water. But the same cannot be said for deepslate. It cannot be generated and can only be obtained by ming. But not anymore! Deepslate Generator Mod adds a feature that allows you to generate deepslate blocks. All that you have to do is to build a stone generator below y-level of 15 and it will start generating deepslate instead of stone.
