The Salt Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.3) – New Ores, Blocks and Mechanics

The Salt Mod is a Minecraft mod that adds several new items, blocks and features related to salt. The new food salting mechanics introduced by this mod, will let you salt your food to improve the taste, while also increasing the nutritional value. Let’s take a look at some of the amazing features of this mod.

Features:

• Food can now be salted to improve the taste and add nutrition.
• Salting recipe is dynamic and controlled by “salt:can_be_salted” tag:
  • Several mods, such as Farmer’s Delight, are supported out of the box.
• Nutrition value can be configured per food.
• All Salt blocks are dissolvable in water.
• Salt blocks will melt adjacent ice and snow blocks.
• Ice and snow can also be melted by sprinkling them with salt.
• The mod is highly configurable:
  • Tags are used for everything.
  • All features can be turned off in a config.

Rock Salt

• Rock Salt will generate underground (sililar to ores) in dripstone caves, ocean and beach biomes.
• When harvested, Rock Salt Ore will drop Raw Rock Salt, which is crafted into Salt.
• Salt can be also obtained by growing Salt Crystals or by evaporating water in a cauldron.
