The Source Bottles Mod does not offer anything new to the game; rather, it only keeps account of events that take place within the game and has the ability to run server-side as well. To put it another way, the water source block will be depleted if a glass bottle is used on it after it has already been used. After this mod has been loaded, breaking a water source block with a glass bottle will result in the block being removed from the game. This indicates that in order to fill one bottle with water, you will need to use a quantity of water that is comparable to filling one bucket. This is handy for modpacks in situations where the complexity of the pack is supposed to be raised and where infinite sources may be disabled.
