The Storage Overhaul Mod adds a wide variety of additional chests to the game, all of which can be upgraded to more powerful versions. The standard number of storage compartments in chests is 27. There is a base level for each variety of chest, and then three additional levels above that. The size of the chest increases by 9 slots at the end of each tier, making the tier three chest the same size as a double chest. These chests can also be joined together to form double chests, which offer twice as much storage space as the single chests. There is a minecart chest equivalent to each and every chest. The standard number of storage compartments in a barrel is 27. There is one base tier for each variety of barrel, and then three further tiers after that. The capacity of the barrel increases by nine slots at the end of each tier, making the tier three chest equivalent in size to two barrels put together. Only one kind of an object can be kept in a storage barrel at a time. Right-clicking the front of the window will allow you to insert a new item. When you double-click the right mouse button, it inserts all of the items of that type. Left-clicking will remove one item from the stack, while holding down shift and left-clicking will remove the entire stack. There is a limit of 3456 items that can be stored in a barrel, but this number can be altered in the configuration file.
