Bad Lightning No Cookie Mod (1.16.5) – Distinguish between Lightning near players

Bad Lightning No Cookie Mod integrates into the game an option, in which only the sound of lightning from 128 blocks away can be heard, thus allowing players to easily tell what is going on within their worlds compared to the old sound system where lightning sounds can be heard globally. Why is this necessary you might wonder? well, whenever players participate in a multiplayer lobby, they would sometimes hear lightning coming from the other end of the world as other players might be situated there. Sometimes, this feature creates confusion among the players as lightning does entail numerous dangerous mobs and entities. However, with Bad Lightning No Cookie being client-sided, everything outside of a 128 blocks radius will be blocked out completely, thus clearing all the confusion that players might have.
