Cannibalism Mod (1.12.2, 1.11.2) – The Last Resort for Food

Cannibalism Mod lets you eat your own flesh to survive when you are starving. You can also eat villagers and even other players on multiplayer servers. The mod adds special knives that let you cut meat from animals without having to kill them, offering a new way to gather food in desperate times.

Features:

Items:

• Knives: Use these tools to cut flesh from yourself, other players, and mobs. This will damage the target and make them drop meat.

Foods:

• Player Flesh: Restores 2 hunger raw and 4 hunger when cooked. You can get it by using a knife on yourself or other players.
• Villager Flesh: Restores 2 hunger raw and 4 hunger when cooked. Get it by using a knife on villagers.
• Witch Flesh: Restores 2 hunger but cannot be cooked. Eating it gives you a Harming II potion effect because it is corrupted.

Wendigo Mechanic:

• A powerful mob called the Wendigo may be summoned if a player engages in too much cannibalism. It has 50 hearts and high knockback resistance. This feature is disabled by default.
• Eating Player, Villager, or Witch flesh increases your “Wendigo Level”.
• A high Wendigo Level can grant buffs like Speed, Strength, and Resistance, but also increases hunger drain.
• Reaching a certain level will cause negative effects like Nausea and Blindness before summoning a Wendigo and resetting your level.

Configuration & Commands:

This mod includes OP commands for managing a player’s wendigo level for debugging:

• /cannibalism stat <player name>: Shows the player’s current wendigo level.
• /cannibalism set <player name> <new value>: Sets the player’s wendigo level to a new value.

You can also change several options in the mod’s configuration file. These settings let you change the sound made when using a knife, adjust the amount of blood particles, or turn the Wendigo mechanic on or off.

How to Use:

1. To get your own flesh, hold a knife and use Shift + Right-click. This will damage you and drop one piece of Player Flesh.
2. To get meat from animals like cows and pigs, right-click them with a knife. This damages them and makes them drop meat without dying.
3. To get flesh from villagers, other players, or zombies, use the knife on them. For villagers, you must Shift + Right-click.
