Food Expansion Mod (1.12.2, 1.11.2) – Turn Mobs Into Magic Meals

Food Expansion Mod adds many new food items to Minecraft’s world. This mod builds upon the vanilla food system by introducing new recipes and ingredients, giving you more choices for what to eat.

Features:

• Craft a variety of new meals, including Bacon and Eggs, Carrot Pie, and Chocolate Bars.
• Turn items like cactus and slimeballs into edible food like Cactus Fruit and Green Jelly.
• Cook eggs into Fried Eggs and mushrooms into Cooked Mushrooms.
• Make special stews and soups that provide unique potion effects.
• Get new meat drops from mobs like horses, squids, bats, and wolves.
• Smelt Compressed Flesh into leather, providing a new use for rotten flesh.
• All foods that leave a bowl now stack to 64, saving inventory space.

New Meals and Snacks

• Bacon and Crispy Bacon: Craft bacon from raw porkchop, then cook it. Both versions are eaten much faster than regular food and have a chance to grant a brief Strength effect.
• Bacon and Egg: A hearty meal made from Crispy Bacon and a Fried Egg that guarantees the Strength effect.
• Green Jelly: A wobbly treat made from slimeballs and sugar that causes Nausea and takes longer to eat.
• Spider Eye Stew: Grants Night Vision for 15 seconds but also gives a short Poison effect.
• Nether Wart Stew: A unique soup that removes all negative potion effects but sets you on fire.
• Blaze Cream Soup: Provides 15 seconds of Fire Resistance when eaten.
• Lollipop: A simple food made from sugar that can also be used as a weapon, dealing 3 damage per hit.

New Mob Drops

• Mobs that previously didn’t drop food now provide meat, including Horses, Squids, Bats, Wolves, Ocelots, Parrots, Llamas, and Polar Bears.
• Raw Bat Wings have a 50% chance of giving you Hunger, which is reduced to 10% when cooked. Bat Wings can also be crafted into leather.
• All new meats can be cooked in a furnace for a better meal.
