Hunger Overhaul Mod reworks Minecraft’s hunger system to make survival more challenging. Instead of being a small problem, managing your hunger becomes an important part of the game. This mod changes how food, farming, and health regeneration work to create a tougher experience.

Hunger Overhaul Mod

Features:

Changes the amount of hunger that different foods restore.
Adds tooltips to food items to show you how filling they are.
Displays a warning text on screen when your health or hunger gets too low.
Gives a ‘Well Fed’ status effect after eating that helps you heal faster.
Makes the time it takes to eat food depend on how big the meal is.
Allows you to right-click fully grown crops to harvest them and automatically replant.
Makes crops grow much slower and only during the daytime.
Your hunger level when you respawn is now based on the game’s difficulty.
Applies negative effects like slowness if your hunger bar is nearly empty.
You will die instantly when your hunger reaches zero.
The speed of hunger loss and healing changes with the game’s difficulty setting.
Most features can be turned on or off in the configuration file.
