Better Swimming Mod 1.12.2 is a mod that backports swimming like 1.13, to 1.12.2. It is not like 1.13, but there is also an animation of swimming properly and you can pass through a gap of one block!
When swimming, be sure to press the dash key (Default is ctrl key).
