Better Blocks and Items Mod 1.4.7

Meant as a sort of spiritual successor to the original Better Blocks, Better Blocks and Items Mod 1.4.7 is a collection of small modular changes to the properties of certain vanilla blocks and items. Each component is stand-alone and can be disabled or re-enabled separately from all of the others:

Better Bonemeal

• Gives bonemeal the ability to fertilize mycellium (and more… sort-of)

Better Blaze Powder

• Adds ability to fertilize netherwart with blaze powder

Better Charcoal

• Gives charcoal it’s own sprite

Better Cobwebs

• Adds ability to harvest cobwebs with shears

Better Dye

• Dye can be used to ‘paint’ on wool blocks directly

Better Mushrooms

• Adds ability to harvest mushroom blocks with silk touch
• Adds mushroom blocks to the creative inventory

Better Recipes

• Changes the recipes for cake, cookies, and powered and detector rails

Better Spawners

• Adds monster spawners to the creative inventory
• Adds ability to change a spawner’s type by right-clicking with mob eggs
• Adds some additional mob eggs into the creative inventory
• Silverfish blocks moved to misc tab of the creative inventory

Better Stairs

• Adds eleven optional stair-types

Better Torches

• Torches can be placed on stairs, slabs, glass, and ice (where appropriate)

Better Wood

• Changes inner textures of logs to better match bark and planks
