ShowMonsters is a mod that lists the mobs that can be picked by the spawning algorithm to spawn in the block where the player’s feet are positioned (Before v3 the head was used). It will also perform checks to validate whether the position is good for spawning, and is useful because it can be used to identify locations where special spawns such as Wither Skeletons and Witches can occur.
Usage:
- Install the mod and press F4 (F3 for older versions) to toggle the display which lists the monsters and their weight (chance of being picked).
- To use it hold F3 and press N to display the bounding boxes of the Nether Fortress structures.
