Realm RPG: Pots & Mimics

Which Minecraft do you have?

Every version of the game needs its own build. Pick yours, then download — the wrong build installs fine and then does nothing in the game. This mod is built for Forge only.

I don't know my version or loader
Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.
No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.

Welcome to RealmRPG, a mod series featuring vanilla-like medieval fantasy additions!

Pots & Mimics mod improves adventure and exploration aspects of Minecraft by adding treasure pots with a random surprise.

The mod is made specifically for Play as Dragon Gothic Edition modpack, but you can play the mod without it or use in your modpack!

Version Status:
✔️
- Supported stable version. Contains all features and it's likely to be updated.

🦎 - Has beautiful animations & requires GeckoLib. Disable Entity Shadows in shader settings if animations don't work for you !
- Not supported outdated version, may contain bugs. Can lack some features and it's unlikely to be updated.

Pots
'Remains of forgotten civilization, scattered around the underground caves'

  • Can be found in Overworld caves, the Nether & the End. Contains random rewards, making exploration more diverse and enjoyable.
  • Break pots to get various materials and even enchanted books, but do not forget about the danger - some of them are homes for crabs, which ambush to eat an unlucky adventurer.
  • Can be harvested as block only with silk touch, otherwise drops treasures (and can spawn a crab).
  • There is no block or biome restrictions for pots generation, which is good when playing with mods that add new biomes.
  • Dropped items depend on loot_tables. You can re-balance mod for yourself with a simple datapack.
  • Decorative pots are the same as treasure pot but cheap, safe and craftable. It has different inventory icon without gold nugget on it.
  • Both decorative pots and treasure pots can accept most plants to be placed in it, including plants from other mods.
  • To make variants combine a dirt block with four bricks, nether bricks or popped chorus fruits.

Pot Crab
'Underground crabs that ambush to eat an unlucky adventurer'

  • Has chance to spawn upon breaking Overworld treasure pots.
  • Slow speed and low damage.
  • Can drop 0-2 Apples

Poison Pot Crab
'Dangerous pot crab species that uses venomous glands to hunt prey'

  • Rare variant of Pot Crab.
  • Has chance to poison target.
  • Can drop 0-2 Spider Eyes.

Nether Pot Crab
'Distant relatives of the earthen pot crabs that live near molten lava'

  • Has chance to spawn upon breaking Nether treasure pots.
  • Medium health, speed & knockback resistance.
  • Has chance to burn target.
  • Afraid of water & cannot swim. Takes damage on contact with water.
  • Can drop 0-2 Golden Carrots.

Ender Pot Crab
'Pot crabs brought to this alien world by random explorers from Overworld'

  • Has chance to spawn upon breaking End treasure pots.
  • High health and damage
  • Cannot be knocked back, but knocks you.
  • Has 30% chance to slow down target
  • Can drop 0-2 Chorus Fruits.
