**Creatures and Beasts: Continued

**

This is a fork of the Creatures and Beasts by joosh_7889 and HellionGames

This project was originally created to serve as a temporary port of Creatures and Beasts to 1.20.1 while the original authors make plans to port it themselves, and be unsupported once the official port was released.

However, it has been 3 years since the last update for the original project, and the Creatures and Beasts: Continued project now supports 4 modern versions of the mod, with all known bugs patched, improved entity behaviors, and small new features to keep the mod on par with modern standards. I am open to continuing the evolution of Creatures and Beasts by adding new mobs if any members of the community would like to share their own high-quality models and textures or ideas for mobs that stylisticly fit the theme of this project.

Current Creatures:

• Little Grebe: Adorable birds that thrive in rivers and lakes. They love to eat fish and often carry their babies on their backs.
• Lizards: Small companions found in deserts and jungles. Cheer up a sad lizard with their favorite snack, apple slices, or play music to see them dance!
• Cindershell: Gentle volcanic tortoises that roam the Nether Wastes, feeding on fungus. They drop shell shards that can be used to craft a special sword imbued with lava. Equip them with a cinder furnace for an unlimited fuel source.
• Sporelings: Tiny mushroom creatures found in both the Nether and the overworld. They can remove curses from your gear.. Tame them using bonemeal! When tamed, you can carry them with a sporeling backpack by shift-right-clicking.
• Lilytad: Shy creatures that hide in swamp waters, disguising themselves as lilypads. Their flowers can be sheared and regrow in about 15 minutes.
• Minipad: A glowing, axolotl-like subspecies of lilytads. They illuminate swamps at night with their radiant flowers, which can be used to craft beautiful flower crowns.
• Yeti: Powerful beasts inhabiting snowy tundras. They remain neutral unless you approach their babies. Earn their trust with melon slices, or breed them with berries. Tamed yetis (grown from baby yetis that trust you) won’t follow you but will defend you fiercely.
• Cactem: Prickly desert dwellers that live in tribal communities led by an elder. Cactem elders will collect dropped totems and exchange them for either valuable or completely useless items.
• End Whale: Majestic giants that roam the End's void. Tame and ride them using chorus fruit and a saddle. However, they won’t follow you unless you’re holding food.

• Updated nearly all classes and .json files to be compatible with modern versions of Forge, NeoForge, Fabric, and Geckolib
