Fathomless Crimson is a horror mod that introduces The Undaunted into minecraft, with a hefty focus on practicality and actual gameplay, prioritising the minecraft playthrough over cheap jumpscares and instant deaths. Through new mobs, armor and equipment can be crafted to aid the player's journey, giving a purpose and reason to engage with these mobs.
The Undaunted is not a god. It is not invincible. You can kill it, and you can learn its moveset.
Features (TLDR)

Mobs implemented by Fathomless Crimson have animated attacks and movesets, emphasizing the trust-worthy shield that you've used against other mobs, and have proven so useful. However, your shield does not gaurantee your safety. Attacks with purple flashes will break through your block, simply unblock to avoid getting block broken. Purple Attacks will not deal damage if you are not blocking.
Requires Geckolib, Nexus Layer, and Obscure API in order to function. If you are experiencing animation issues, disable entity shadows in your shader settings.
You are allowed to distribute Fathomless Crimson to 3rd party websites, as long as a link to the curseforge page is provided. As for modpacks, idk go ahead lmao
Reviews/Videos
Equipment includes items and weapons, which can be obtained through structures and defeating mobs. Weapons added by Fathomless Crimson have stylized tooltips based on Obscuria's Aquamirae!

The Main Scaries
The Undaunted
A towering abomination controlled by hatred. The Undaunted acts as the "Cave Dweller" stand in. It begins its hunt after a 2 day grace period. It intiates chases during the night and functions off of an accumulated chance system. Accumulated chance is lowered via the Hallucinations that pursue you, and is reset to its base value when a chase is initiated. After a chase, the undaunted goes on a cooldown to prevent another chase right after.
Slaying the Undaunted may grant you bountiful rewards, though it is recommended you have a shield in your attempt to take it down. It's recommended you view the Undaunted's abilities ingame, as there are many to pick from.
The Faceless
An abberated mind that disguises itself as faceless livestock to catch you offguard where they then attack you. At a glance, their disguise lets them fit in with the rest of the flock. Though it may surprise you if you aren't paying attention, if you have at LEAST 6/24 vision you'll be able to tell them apart quite easily.
There is no reward for killing The Faceless. Some things are pointless, some things were never meant to be. It's important to remember that it's not your fault.

The Courier has not been added to the mod.
