Skyland Traveler

Skyland Traveler is a sky-island exploration modpack built around airship travel, world discovery and life above the clouds.

Instead of following a strict technology progression, the pack encourages players to explore a fragmented sky world, build a floating settlement and travel between distant islands.

Core Gameplay

The modpack revolves around several interconnected systems.

Airships and Flight

Players begin their journey with a large exploration airship and can later construct smaller Shuttle-class craft for scouting, transport and combat.

Exploration and World Discovery

The world is composed of scattered sky islands filled with unique environments.

Players are encouraged to document their discoveries through the Exploration Journal quest system.

Life Above the Clouds

Beyond exploration, players can establish their own floating homestead.

Several structures unlock new activities:

• Barn – farming and crop storage

• Kitchen – cooking, brewing and tea preparation

• Hangar – airship systems and aviation equipment

• Trading Camp – merchants and barter trading

• Engineering Port – construction of small aircraft

These structures are built using blueprint systems rather than traditional block-by-block construction.

World Changes

This modpack slightly adjusts several Minecraft mechanics to better suit the sky-island environment.

Crops require open sky

Most crops will wither if placed under solid blocks.

Hostile mobs only spawn at night

Large floating islands can cast shadows during the day.
To prevent constant monster spawning in those shadows, hostile mobs only spawn during nighttime.
