FORGE ONLY (Soon NeoForge)
This mod changes the way how Armor scales, this results in "weaker" armor like Leather to be more protective, while "stronger" armor like Diamond won't protect as good as before, but still better than e.g. Iron. You can combine this with Mods that increase the Armor/Toughness Cap to make more use of this, as this mod is intended to be used with such Mods, e.g. AttributeFix.
It does it with a Mixin, meaning other Mods that target the same function, are Incompatible.
If you want to see how this Mod changes the damage dealt for certain Situations, you can do that on e.g. Desmos:
pre 1.2 (old) The scaling of Toughness can be further tweaked in the config.
new 1.2
New version has configs for the Base used for Armor and Toughness, such as Divisors for both to make them more or less valuable.
I do not plan on porting to Fabric, or older Version, I will however port this to newer versions.
