This is a simple command-line tool which helps convert map save files in Minecraft JE 1.12+ into a PNG image. It can merge multiple maps into a big one.

- Open a command line at the downloaded JAR file's directory.
- Enter "java -jar maptopng.jar <width> <height> <map1> [map2] [map3] ..." (see explanations below) then press Enter.
- If successful, an image "Map-<current system time in milliseconds>.png" will be created and is the resulting image. Otherwise, the console will show what went wrong.
- width; height: The dimensions of the big map you want to merge from the smaller ones. If you want to only convert one map, enter 1 and 1. If you want to merge 6 maps into a 3.2 rectangle, enter 3 and 2; each small map is 128.128 pixels, so the big map will be (128.3).(128.2) = 384.256 pixels.
- mapX: Path to each map file ending in ".dat". If the path doesn't end with ".dat", the tool will append that into the path. If the file is in the same directory with the console's directory and the name is in the format "map_<number>.dat", you can enter only the number. Maps are arranged from left to right, from top to bottom in a <width>.<height> grid, each cell is a small map. Use "." if there isn't a small map at the corresponding "cell".
