Do you miss those old party games?
Welcome to Werewolves of Millers Hollow. If you don't know what this game is about, it basically is about how well your ability to lie is and to spot them.
What’s new about this series, is that every player now has a special assigned role and because these roles have some explaining needed to be done, we decided to make this guide instead of in-game instructions. This will contain everything about your role and what your abilities are. These roles are very different from the normal game because we personally find them more fun to play.
When the game starts, everyone will receive a card with a picture on which shows you your role. All role names and icons can be found in the document listed below if the picture is unclear.
Every night, most roles will select a target to play their part in that night. When everyone has chosen their target or the time has run out, certain players might be killed depending on the targets of the players. Roles that have a higher priority number, will go first. If a wolf (priority 0) and murderer (priority 0) select each other as a target, it will be decided by the plugin which will be killed (randomly). If the priority is -1, then this role doesn’t play any part in the night.
When the day starts, everyone receives a color chooser to select a target. If you choose a target, it will count as a vote. The player with the most votes after everyone has voted will be put on the gallows. This player will have a last chance to defend himself. If he is found guilty, by using the lead in your inventory, he will be killed and his role will be revealed. Do note that if you vote out a madman, he will have won the game for himself, but the game will go on as usual.
After killing a player on the gallows, the night will be started again. If you wish not to kill a player when it’s day, the gamemaster will be able to skip the day. The game master is chosen based on OP or on the permission “skipday”

You can make your own maps, role images and colors but this one is already optimized for a good playing experience. We have disabled chat with a flag because we like to keep everything through voice chat, but you can play it through chat (if you remove the chat: false flag) even though it will not be the same experience.
Communication through words only counts for 7% while hearing
voices counts for 38%! The remaining 55% is by seeing each other, but we don't all have a webcam so we prefer to play verbally only. The optimal player amount is atleast 6 players and it tends to be more fun if you play with more because you have a wider range of roles and more confusion.

This is not necessary, but we highly advise you use the resourcepack for playing this game to get the full experience! Be noted that we set our Jukebox/Noteblock to about 5% when at 100% game volume in order not to damage our hearing...

Stuff that will change with coming updates:
- Support for lower versions as well
- Automatically check for skip when voting when it's day
- Votecount scoreboard for putting a player on gallows
- Let werewolves see each other by using the wolves tail model
- When 2 last are over, make the vote not count
- Sometimes players can't be seen

If anyone likes to record their gameplay, I would feature it on this page but I couldn't convince my Dutch friends to do it in English for the sake of a video, unfortunately. In case you don't have any friends to play, it will be available to play with other people soon on our server with both non-voice chat and voice chat lobbies.
Simple setup:
1. Download the server files from above
2. Download the latest jar from this post and place it into the plugins folder
3. In case you don't want to use the resource pack, set it to false in the config.yml, otherwise download the resource pack from the link above.
4. Run the server with the run.bat or run.command depending on your host OS.
5. Most important, enjoy and leave a rating/feedback if you find the time!
If you enjoy, donating is welcome.
